Easy Egg Chowmein

Hi all! In this quarantine time, I've started to gain interest in my hobbies again. One of these is cooking. This is my first blog and I decided to start writing with the recipe of one of my favourites that is egg chowmein. Made with some common ingredients and love ( when you cook with love and passion, it automatically tastes good! :D ) , it attracts us specially the kids. And it's very easy also for the bachelors. So let's  start with the recipe!

Ingredients-
  • 3 small packets of chowmein (for 4 peoples' evening snack)
  • vegetables ( for cooking : 1 medium sized onion, 2 carrots, 5-6 beans, 2 green chillies ; for garnishing : 1 meedium sized onion, 1 cucumber)
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chilli sauce
  • 2 teaspoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon refined oil
  • salt, cumin powder, turmeric (in small pinch)
Steps-
  • At first, boil 2 cups of water with a pinch of salt, oil and turmeric. When the water starts boiling, add the 3 packets of chowmein and boil for 5 mins. Take out the boiled chowmein, leave it under the tap water and then rinse it.
  • In a pan, put the flame in high heat and let the oil to heat up. After the oil is hot enough, lower the flame and fry all the vegetables. You can add some salt before when the oil starts to splutter getting in contact of the wet vegetables. Add the vinegar, sauces and stir well. You can add the egg right there or make the scrambled egg separately.
  • Now add the boiled chowmein. Stir well using 2 spoons to make it easier. Check the salt and add accordingly.
  • Yes! The egg chowmein is ready. Serve it with some onion cucumber salad and ketchup. Enjoy your food !
